Hi,
Although I have been keeping tropical for 5 years I have recently started a 2nd tank and my pair of Jewel Chichlids have recently laid eggs. The female has laid them on a leaf of a plant and everything is going ok but I am not sure what needs to be done next. The male and female seem compatible and are getting along fine. Do I need to just leave them alone to get on with it or do I need to seperate them from the other tank members. Generally I just need to know what the best way forward is in order to make sure that the breeding cycle is complete and the eggs will hatch etc. I have always kept aggressive solitary fish in my other tank until now (Red Devil, Jack Dempseys, Green terrors etc.) so this is my first successful pairing.
Thanks and best Regards,
