Well... I gutted the 22 gallon tank. Completely. It was a good idea though.. the 135 gallon looks WAY better now. The tank went from this..

I love what you did with your tank. The slate looks great! Wish I had the time and space to do the same.
The 22 is amazing now, very unique from what iv seen

I have to say, I love the new look too! I'll be moving in a couple of months and that looks like something that I might need to try out. Very, very nice work GD!

The slate terrace is looking good. I really like that wood that is lying down on the right too, it forms a nice overhang/cave at the front.
What are the dimensions of this tank? 22 gallons is a weird number.

That's cool. I have a lot of slate lying around at home... might go back and grab some... AND TOTALLY COPY WHAT YOU DID :emb:

Looks great. Keep up the good work by getting some fish that look awesome in there!

Very nice set up. I'm guessing that the left side of your tank is way heavier than your right side, but hopefully that won't become any sort of structural problem.

Not Professionally, but it is certainly something I have been thinking about.

Beautiful tanks. When I move later this year I'm definetely setting up my tank to look similar to yours.

Wow! That looks amazing! I've been investigating terracing for my new tank and this looks like a great natural way to do it. Does the slate affect the pH or hardness of your water at all?

I LOVE the slate wall, too. Bascially, I like rocks and stones in general, they just turn my crank (more so than driftwood)... but that terrace is gorgeous. Do you have the gravel behind it deep all the way down, or did you add something to bring it up (styrofoam?) ?
