Found a fish i thought died but dont know what it is~

This is a pleco(i think) one of my friends gave me since he had to take down his tank.
I was rearranging and found him
its about 2 in long and is about 4 years old, its gold colored and the nose is kind of rounded..

Looks like a nice lil clown pleco, and one good-sized common pleco there. The clowns are well known for their hiding ablities, I only see mine occasionally.
 
The common next to him is the reason im redoing the tank, he "outgrew" his piece of driftwood so i got him a bigger piece that just finished sinking
 
dapple- could it be a vampire or do you think there is not enough evidence of spots? The base color is similar, and I have seen some with dull spots in the past. I could swing either way on it I think. You are probably right with the clown call though, just wondering

Looks more like a clown to me, but some more pics would be good. I'm also leaning that way since clowns are much more common considering it was just given to them.
 
ill take some more pics if i can find it :P

It was bought a small old pet store that im pretty sure has gone out of buisness
