Crude site, but a few nice pics of my tank. They are large, sorry. I think they are worth the wait.

The middle right pic was taken about a year ago before my butis butis started eating everything and I had to divide the tank. It also coincided with a trip home to Baton ROuge where I caught a few natives in Lake Pontchartrain and got some plants, which you'll see didn't survive.

Nice tank!
Does your puffer bother your fire eel?
I had other kinds of spiny eels and my GSP attacked them and injured them and the other fish finished them off.
They were smaller spiny eels.
The LFS is going out of business and she has a Fire Spiny Eel it is about 9 inches long.
Well its only an idea since I would have to hand feed it since any food in my tank is eaten immediately.
I already have to hand feed my 4 baby Neovespicula depressifrons, Leaf goblinfish. That's not hard they are already tame. They see me coming and race to the front of the tank. They will even swim up to my hand while I'm cleaning the tank to see if I have food. They are 1.125" long.

I had a target puff briefly about 5 yrs ago that took some large divots out of the fire eel's tail, but have otherwise had no probs with fig 8 or GSPs.

I have seen a large range of fire eels with regards to color/beauty. I would hold out if the red is not bright or the black is too pale gray. Otherwise, go for it, my fire eel is my (aquarium) pride and joy! He also comes to the tank-front when I approach, andhe will stick his nose out of the water to grab worms/shrimp. I usually just drop them in though, and he vacuums them up in a split second. I wouldn't worry about yours being underfed, he'll get his share!

BTW, great tank OLAF! I hope to get some waspfish myself, but I have NEVER seen them in 10 years of stopping at every fish store I see.

Gorgeous eel. They are the entire reason I want to set up a brackish tank...Just have too many FW fish right now, and no place to put another tank. Sigh. Just have to admire yours--thanks for sharing!

Thank you.
I have to do a few things before I can get any more fish.
I have to build the background to my tank still.
It is going to be a polyester resin sculpture and painted with polyurethane to look like a mangrove coast line.
I just fixed my pump and filtration today and I still have to epoxy a few other things.

Getting some funding is number one on my list.
I am still unemployed. I have had 3 interviews this week and I still have two more. Being unemployed for a year and 2 months can really put a weight (wait) on everything.

i recently came into possesion of a leaf goblinfish are they truely venomous? i just wanted to know and will it hurt my other fishies if so. i think he is the cutest
