how on earth does salt get out of my tank and go all over the place?! the region on my dresser around the tank is soaked and salt is everywhere, yet there is nothing on the tank, and no holes or anything! why does this happen?!!? its like teh salt is deffusing out of the tank thru the acrilack:confused:

Looks like you have an airstone in there. Most people avoid them because of splash and salt creep in marine tanks. My theory is that water is splashing onto the lid and dribbling across the top and down the side.

Splashing from an airstone, evaporation and condinsation on the desk surface. They will all lead to salt deposits.
