Pleco eye problem.

Help..
My albino gibbys eye seems to have a problem..
will try to post picture later.
it seems instead of red pupils..
the eyes or the pupil has enlarged and turned whitish..
though theres still red in it.
and not sure if my pleco is blind:(
this is for bith eyes.

what could have caused this?
if its because of high nitrate/nitrite..
can it be reversed?
any suggestions? i have him in the tank with an arowana.
