What's the problem? The newest leaves of my lobelia stand have begun to crinkle, shrink and turn white. I'm thinking it's either calcium or iron deficiencies, but I feed it a mL of Plantex a day, so I thought iron would be unlikely. Although I have had to up to dose of Plantex considerably over the last few weeks (from .5 to 1 mL a day).
And... I HAD been using a water softener (potassium chloride, cheaper than NoSalt by a factor of 10) for a month, until I realized that wasn't such a good idea (and this link is where I got that idea). I've gone back to NoSalt, but I'm thinking that the Softener is the culprit. None of the plants are past the point of no return, but they sure aren't happy.
