Okay, I've been trying to vary diet of fish in my tanks. We have tetras, corys, plec*s, rasboras, etc. in 75. Guppies, platies, & swordtails in 68. I bought the Marineland Bio-Blend foods for these fish. Most are top to mid-level feeders. But all of the bio-Blend I've bought and tried(and it's a little costly) sinks like a rock. I might as well be pouring sand in the tank as fast as it sinks. The top feeders don't have a chance and the mid-level ones better be quick. Now, of course, the bottom feeders are happy as they can be.

Anyone else tried this food and have similar problem? Any suggestions as how I can get this stuff to float a little before sinking?

I've had the same problem with it. It sinks like a rock, and too much ends up on the bottom of the tank, which is just a waste for most of my tanks.

It seems to be well suited for bottom feeders, and such, but I don't plan on buying it again. I figure that there are too many other brands on the market to bother with the ones that are a headache.

You're right there. I'll use it for bottom feeders until it runs out and won't be buying it again.

01/13/03 - Update - I sent email to Marineland on 01/02/03 when I first posted this message and have never received any kind of response back. No 'thank you', 'go to h****' or anything. Would be nice if someone would just bother to respond to a complaint but I guess since huge company, that's a little much to expect, huh?
