how do i tell juveniles males from females

depending on how old the midas is really. some are very hard to tell. example Mojos F1 female looks like a nice tough male, even with its egg tube dropped it still looked like the male i gave him. but it was definatly a female and mine was definatly a male. i noticed on my midas fry when they got about 2" it was pretty easy. the males were very noticabley larger, they had noticabley thicker bodies and longer trailing fins then the females. once they start to get larger it may get more difficult to tell by appearences alone. Venting will probably be best for a larger/ older fish.

well is it the female are the male that gets the nuchal hump.

they both get it and the females can be just as large as a males.
