How deep should the gravel be in my 29?

Looks like I need to add about 1/2-3/4" more gravel to the 29
I will build an Overengineered version for the 10 when I set it back up:D

I now have two of three of the overengineered versions, and could almost Kiss RTR ( don't worry RTR I won't do it) for that idea. The savings in gravel in my 115 paid for the material to make the filter, and it's a very nice set-up with the dempsey and firemouth in there.

In my opinion (with live plants), the gravel/substrate bed should be approximately 3 1/2 inches at the far back of the tank, and sloping forward to about 1 inch at the very front of the tank. There's no need to see substrate layering at the front of the aquarium. HTH

I will do that I made a cave out of a jelly jar for the pleco( he hasn't gone into it yet may be to small in dia.) and cover it with gravel so I already have that hieght in the one rear corner.
I will slop front to back with new gravel in the morning when I get off.
