you like it? I cant remember the exact size, but i know its a tenecor tank, likely either a 620- 96 x 48 x 36 or a 535- 96 x 48 x 30

in either case, it sold for like $600 on www.reefcentral.com

That tank is awsome! I bet that you could build a tank like that yourself. For a cheaper price too.

After pricing custom tanks in the 75-100gallon range, 600 for that one is CHEAP!!!!! Does it have the hardware to fit your bed on it 'cuz there ain't nuff room for much else 'cept that tank in the house!!!

Millions of cardinals!!!!!!!!!:D

Holy goldfish!!!!! That's one whopper of a tank!!! Man $600 for that tank is a huge steal IMO!!! What are you all gonna put in it?? Heck that'll be a real gorgeous tank if you could some how get it planted....or if you wanted to go reef. Please inform us what you are gonna do with it on future posts and get some pics of it as you set it up. Wow.....:D

that is a heck of a tank. personally i couldn't see turning it into a community tank, would have to go agressive saltwater. big enough to house the bigger fellows, like stingrays, sharks, true morays . . . not reef though, you'd have to morgage your house for the lighting, plus you'd be causing brownouts throught town.

or maybe some of the really big cats, like TSN or red tails. and tons of plants. that'd be cool.

Its only a dream but you guys think small! My dream tank would have to be atleast a 10,000g whopper with all my fav cichlids in it.

Slip, how big is that tank? If I had to guess (and I'm no good at guessing).... 1000 gallons?

OK, going on 1000 gallon SWEET tank that Slip has pictured here's my fantasy tank:

300 neons
150 zebra danios
50 cories (panda)
10 clown loaches
6 male bettas (would this be possible? Is there enough room for them to co-exist in a 1000 gallon tank??)

Heavily planted with a few rock caves for hiding places

I saw a similar tank at the LFS and it was 360g
but then again its a small photo and my sense of scaling may be off.

my dream tank would be:

10,000gallon salt water half reef setup

an entire reef biome complete with invertabrates, reef fish and all the larger schooling fish, sharks and rays towards the front of the tank. The reef would be concentrated on the side and back walls. Also, there would be sort of like diving bells on the floor of the tank where you could go up under it and see water and fish on all sides. Of course that kinda bends the laws of gravity, seeing as how this monster would weigh more than a tank platoon.

Oh yeah and did I mention I would somehow inherit Bill Gates' fortune? :D :D :D

oh yeah as a sidenote....

the tank I saw at the LFS sold for $2700
the lady that bought it paid for it in full over a year ago.
she is currently reinforcing the floor in her house to support that monster.
Oh yeah and it was custom built
She plans to put cichlids in it.

my dream tank would be the seas and oceans but that's marine, maybe a 100,000 gallon public aquaria, with an electronic conveyor belt so you don't need to walk to see all the tanks, the tanks arched so i can go under it,species of freshwater fishes all over the world

about putting 6 bettas in a 1000 gal. apparently there was an experiment done where 2 male bettas were released into a pond or lake. the specifics are a bit hazy, the point is they had more than enough room and being released at the same spot, they still fought. its too bad, can you imagine how good a school of male bettas would look?
