i was thiknig of doing a small 5g brackish tank.

could i put two 1 inch bumblebee gobies and one 1/2 inch flounder in there or is a 5 gal not enough room? i already have two 1.75 inch flounders in a ten and could take out the little guy if he gets too big.

what sort of hiding places should i have? should i have any plants?

thanks in advance!:)

Don't know about the gobies, but starting a fish in a tank that is too small can end up stunting the fish. This will shorten its overall lifespan and size and make it more prone to illness.

Why not add the gobies to the ten gallon ? Use the 5 for a QT.

That 10g will be available soon enough. No turtle species will be around long before outgrowing a 10g tank.

Well, as you can see, turtles grow pretty rappidly.

I don't see why you can't keep 3 BBGs in a 5g tank.

(How'd you know it was my B-day?)

im like that cheezy psychic guy in the x-files with the curly hair that gets mad when mylder sends him "negative energy" (ok ive been watching old xfiles eps all day! i have all of them on video. man i love that show!).
actually i knew because it said it at the bottom of the main forum page.
somewhere i read you could put three in a 5. guess not. can you keep them alone or do they need to be in groups? is a 5 just too small for anything?

If you like brackish and like interesting creatures then why not try a crab tank with that 5 gallon. A single fiddler crab should do well I believe in that tank with no one else added. You can set up a really nice home for him. They do enjoy a more brackish setup and you can feed him pelleted sinking foods. They also need to get out into air so an escape is needed as well, say a pile of rocks in the centre.
