I've been cycling my 45 gal SW tank for a month now and I finally have a nitrite spike (off the chart!) I was beginning to think that I'd never get past the ammonia stage. Now the ammonia is on it's way down and the nitrites are really high.

Every day I'm getting a little bit closer to putting something alive in my tank. Dead shrimp are ok, but not very exciting!

Be forewarned--nitrites can take longer to go away than ammonia, but it will get there eventually.
