Metal Halide

Hey all, I am changing jobs here soon, and have access to cheap cheap lighting
so I am thinking of a DIY metal halide system
my tank is a 50 gallon planted, currently all FLO
so, would switching to metal halide be benificial?
I know it would be, I guess I need opinions of those who have it for freshwater uses

You'll need to be fertilizing like mad, and adding CO2--pressurized, I don't DIY will be enough. Tons and tons of plants, or you'll end up with nasty algae.

A reef would be better, IMO--less dosing, anyway. :)
