It's been years since I've done this. If my memory serves me right, there will be a few days of cloudiness in the tank. The tank is a 29gal and has three fish. Two tiger barbs. I figure they are fiesty enough to cycle a tank and one cory catfish who doesn"t appear to mind the environment so far. I realize both species are schooling and plan to add more of their species when the tank settles down. I've only fed once and they gobbled it up right away.

According to the test strips Ammonia is at .25. I made the mistake of dropping in a tab of Ammonia clear this morning. The bubbles at the top of the tank got nasty. I should have left well enough alone.

I removed about 50% of the water this afternoon and replaced with fresh. I just can't seem to remember how long the cloudiness lasts.

Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you!

the cloudiness in my tank while i was cycling it lasted about 3 weeks... though i think that was a lot longer than my previous tanks. but then again i just did this again a few months ago for the first time in like 5+ years, so eh, whatever...

Yes, it's probably a cycling problem. Give it a few days.

You have NO IDEA how many people come into work with cloudy water. Either they just set up the tank, (it's still cycling,) or they are under filtered.
