a real stupid question! i have 19 mbuna cichlid fry who are currently in a small bowl(i guess it's used for betas)that is sitting inside my 29 g.water is good and it is getting plenty of circulation and all the fry are doing great.question is:the ph level in the 29 g is 8.2 while in my 10 g it is 7.6.i have mollies and a placo in my 10 g and i thought about moving the fry to the 10 g before they get to crowded in the small bowl that they are in,since they are growing like weeds.would the ph level difference hurt them?i have plenty of friends that are willing to take most of the fry once they are big enough(this is my very first batch) so i can not set them free into the 29g without the other cichlids munching them up.what do you suggest?

I'd be worried about the mollies, too, more than the pH (if you acclimated them slowly).

Can you set up a Rubbermaid tub for the fry and stick a small filter on it? Or maybe get a spare 10 gallon tank to keep as a fry-nursery/hospital/quarantine tank? Only cost about $9 or $10...

my mollies are not very big and i also have one molly fry.the cichlid fry's are already bigger than the molly fry and he is 3 weeks old.somewhere on this forum i read, that i can release the fry if it can not be swallowed by the bigger fish.how much of that is true?also i don't have another filter but i can always add water from my 10 g to the little tub where i am keeping the mbuna fry.would that work?
