Hey Now all,

I picked up the San Francisco Bay Brand frozen bloodworms today. Just wondering if you guys had any thoughts on this brand. Are the Bloodworms free from diseases and such? Anyone ever had any problems with this brands frozen food?

I know some brands are better than others. I like hikari frozen foods, but this particular place only had san fran brand.

thanks!

take care,
jared

San Fransisco is good, I like them for their packaging (each cube individually sealed,) and it seems easier for community fish to eat. They also have a lot more different kinds of food. However at my store, the Ocean Nutrition brand sells a lot better, especially with the more advanced fishkeepers, and especially the bloodworms. Nutritionally, the Ocean Nutrition is a better pick, but they are packaged so that you just have to lift up the 'lid', which doesn't seem to stay in place all that well, and all the cubes are exposed. When the color fades (and parts turn white) and the cube sinks faster than normal, you know its stale.

I use the san fran foods and am pretty happy with them. I think Hikari are actually better though. Hikari lists their food as going through a disinfection process so they are ZERO diseases possible. Also they add vitamins and stuff.

Still I think the san fran's are pretty good.
