Is it just me, or are the wild type angels hard to find?

I don't mean wild caught, just the wild coloration, silver with vertical black bars. Personally, I don't like all these marbled and gold and chocolate creamsicle with a cherry on top angelfish:p but it seems really hard to find the original kind around here (NW US) does anybody else have the same problem? One LFS I talked to said they get theirs from a breeder in oregon that delivers them every once in a while. The other said she wasn't sure if she'd get them but she'd check the availability from her wholesaler and order them if she could. That order should have come in today, so I'm going in tomorrow to look at what they have. I have low expectations though... I'd order them online but I don't have the extra $$ to pay for shipping.

the lfs's around here carry those I think. I'm pretty sure our angel is just like the one you described. Kyle

we have a LFS that get's the wild's all the time. The last Angels I got came from aquabid.com (http://www.aquabid.com) though, sometimes you can get a good deal on shipping.

well I went to my lfs today and was dissapointed again:( They had 4 dime-sized wild colored angels but they looked like they might as well have had "BAD GENETICS" stamped all over them. weird shaped, poor color, crooked black bars, frayed filaments... generally sickly looking specimens that were all hanging from the surface near the filter intake. They did, however, have some that somewhat resembled the wilds but were a little different. I'll post pictures in about an hour, after I take them. So I got 4 of those. They look like they're pretty healthy fish in good shape.
