Hey-
I stumbled upon a fish that I thought looked really cool. It was called the Pseudocrenilabrus multicolor or Egyptian Mouthbrooder. It was really neat so I did more research but my results were annoying at best. I found that they were full grown at 3 inches but somewhere else said like 8. I heard they were peaceful but other places really aggressive. Some said 10-15 gallons other said 40 gallons are minamum tank sizes. I even got conflicting temperature ranges. I am really confused as of right now and would like some help. Can anyone give me some sold facts? I really want some of these fish. Well thank you!

I've not kept them, but 3"-3.5" is the maximum size for males and females about 2". The books and websites are all over the place on tank size, though. I'd guess a 20 long would be fine for a male and 2-3 females.

Hopefully, someone with first hand knowledge will chime in.

if you have the scientific name fishbase.net is the definitive place to look stuff up.

I hope you have a fast conection as it makes cable look like dialup trying to load the site but there is a reason as it has some info on every fish known to man
