Sick Electric Yellow??

Is there a disease that makes a fish turn grayish? I noticed today my electric yellow lab has gray splotches on him. He has been acting a little weird the past couple of days. Is he just getting old, is he sick, or is this normal? I've had him about over a year now. He's about 2.5-3" in a 55gal cichlid tank - all levels are fine. He does get picked on some by the other fish which are a little bigger, but then again just about all of them get picked on....

Whatever it is, it doesn't sound good and it is invariably being caused by stress. The stress of living with a 4" Melanochromis auratus and a convict cichlid could be enough to kill your fish.
