Hey-
Okay I have done a lot of research on Egyptian Motubrooders (P. multicolor) and I have decided they are the fish for me. Also I want to spawn them. But I don't know the gender ratio to keep them in. I am setting up a 20 gallon tank for them but was wondering should I have like one male to one female, or two or three females. I think it should be one male since I heard they can be kind of territorial and aggressive to eachother sometimes. Also say you miss a spawning how do you know the female has eggs in her mouth? Becuase I plan to remove the female into a seperate the tank for her to rear her fry then a seperate one once she is done with that and can recover before I move her back to the tank. Does this plan seem okay? Also are there any other fish I can keep with the Egyptians? Well these are my first Cichlids I will have ever obtained so I am really excited!
