Slip seeing as the forum changed I lost the picture you posted that had your canopy with MH bulbs in it. Any chance you could repost that for me?

As for anyone else, if you have made a canopy (4-6 feet long) for Metal Halide lights could you please share any pictures or plans you have?

I'm just trying to figure out how I"m going to cool this beast adequately...

I'm thinking about picking up one of these retrofit kits (or building something similar), Are these any good?

Was thinking about the 3 bulbs system with 2 96 watt CF's

if you have only one cross brace in the center then youd be better off with two 250s.

there are people that light 30 longs (36x12x18) with a single 250 and they get very nice light spread.

250s are MUCH brighter than 175 watters.

that picture of the hood wasent mine, so i need to find it again :D

Heh heh ok :-)

Ok, so I guess the 250's are going to be the way to go. I'm still figuring out reflectors though...

Any recomendations? I heard that the "spiderlight" from Digital Ocean was pretty good....

the spiderlight reflectors are by far the most popular. they are pretty large though, so plan accordingly.

heres another picture I found. his tank is the standard 125 that has two cross braces, thats why he has the three lights.

Where did you find those pics? (IE: is that from a site I can visit). That canopy looks huge (tall)!! I'm guessing I will have to build mine the same way....
