Hello.

I've currently got a 50g Malawi Mbuna tank and a 40g planted tetra tank. However, I want to get my spare 15g tank set-up with some more unusual fish/creatures(!).

My tap water is pH 7.8 and hard, so ideally I want to go with something well-suited with this.

Any ideas?

Live Bearers generally do well with harder water. Mollies would love it.

Otherwise get some marine salt mix and make a brackish water tank.

8 dwarf puffers or 1 South american for freshwater. Fig8 or green spotted puffer for brackish.:D

how about some tanganyikan shelldwellers? not sure how "unusual" you're looking for but add a little PH and you're in business. Kyle

A colony of Endler's would be cool!

I just picked up a few and they're really cool / interesting fish.

I second the tanganyikan shell dwellers. Some crushed coral substrate and some shells with the back and sides painted black, rocks stacked in the back corners. That's what I'd do anyway.
