I was thinking of replacing my 6 year old BGK after its death due to my lack of experience in cleaning a tank bigger than a 20 gal,it died due to lack of oxygen,several other fishes died but losses were minimal,is an elephantnose a good replacement?Something nocturnal,have personality and weird,not too large,around 25cm or less.
BGK?
Care to share the cuase of the low O2 prob?

elephantnose aint a good idea,
they get up to 8" and are very sensitive to water perameters i tihnk...
you'd need a larger tank for a start....

Just askin', Serrateeth--the symptoms of low oxygen (gasping at the surface) are the same as the last stages of ammonia poisoning. Any possibility?
Just thought I'd ask, in case something snuck up on ya.
