I listen to Top 40 mostly. But I also listen to what my Dad calls "New country" I also listen to Cher, and when I am in the car with my Mom, I listen to oldies. I also like some jazz. I guess to sum it all up, I pretty much listen to it all.

I like new rock, pop, rap, r&B....
... and as for oldies, I like motown music, I also like the classics too (music which is now old but was cool way back when).
The only thing I will not listen to is country. Shania Twain or Faith Hill doesn't count either. Otherwise, I can put up with anything.

I like a little bit of a lot of different styles, too. My favorite radio station is scan. :D I usually have some sort or classical or new age cd in my player. I also like a lot of Christian contemporary and praise and worship.

I love music. I even once thought about majoring in it. I love oldies, '80's music, contemporary, classical (half my collection,) rock, rap, ska, broadway showtunes, etc. The only thing I haven't bought any of is country.
My favorite group is the Beatles and my favorite singer is Alanis Morrissette. When I told this to one of my good friends, he said, "Hmmm, I didn't know that about you." Then he gave me a funny look. I wonder what that means! :D
Basically, I listen to it all. My CD collection is large, but I haven't counted for a while, so I'm not sure how many I have.

i cant stand rap, country, or anything with non-melodic screaming. (is that an oxy-moron? :D) i cant stand all of the crap they call "punk" and "alternative" these days...all of the "punk" "singers" sound like they have peanut butter stuck to the roofs of their mouths...
i will listen to just about anyhting else...i love led zeppelin and frank sinatra though:)
the stations in my car go through everything-most of the time its on 80s/classic rock or classical.

I listen to just about anything and everything other than most rap. At work, I listen to oldies. In the car, I listen to classic rock. At home, I listen to Lucy on XM. When I'm in the mood, I listen to heavy metal, hard rock, pop (*shudder*), or something off-the-wall I've never heard before like Japanese techno or something. I do like Country, but, unfortunately, they stopped making that a couple decades ago I think. I'm not sure what that stuff is they call Country these days.

but seriously, AFG's description of it was best IMO.... BUT one thing I do like outside of all that is 1 song (only 1) by Kenny Chesney, "She Thinks my Tractor's Sexy', other than that, I'm right up there with AFG.

Hard Rock

All depends on my mood and if I'm writing. I listen to Sinatra when writing a particular story.
Hard rock while writing another.
Evenessence (I know I probably spelled that wrong) on another story.
Classical (LOTR soundtracks) on another story.
Hmmmm ... I know there's more, but ... well, hard to think right now.
;)

Anyone ever like a particular cd or group so much you stopped listening to it so you wouldn't ever get sick of it? I've done that with Evanescence and some other stuff. Only pull them out on special occasions.

Not crazy at all, in fact it's much better than a certain white rapper who speaks of raping his ex, and killing his mom... no names mentioned here. :D

Depends on the mood, and what I'm trying to do. :)
But I don't like Indian music. It sounds weird because they have a 22 (I think) note scale and not your regular octave.

My tastes are pretty eclectic, but I'm mostly a Jazz and Classical fan. But, in a typical run on my CD player, you'll hear a Haydn symphony followed by Art Blakey (Greatest. Drummer. Evar.) followed by Yes followed by Kornog (Celtic).

I'm a Metal head from waaaaay back. Into Zepplin, Sabbath etc, TOOL, Metallica, A Perfect Circle, RHCP, Sepultura, Morbid Angel, PearlJam, Incubus...the list goes on. However, due to parental influence growing up, I also really enjoy everything from Floyd to Cream, Credence, America, Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks, Kate Bush, ELO, Simon & Garfunkle, Cold Chisel, Australian Crawl, Dire Straits...and it doesn't stop there. HardHouse, TechHouse, Drum n Bass, Acid Jazz, Deep House, Dub, Roots, Trance, Prog.... Basically I like anything except RnB, Rap, Hip Hop or that cringe-worthy Britney-esque Pop crap.
EDIT: or Country.
