I had a few questions about these fish... first of all, would they do well together? I have heard that the Jurupari can get rather nasty with its territory, and I have witnessed several Severums (heh, several severums...:D ) that were pretty agressive. As for the Geo Proximus, I know nothing about it... but it looks a lot similar to the Jurupari. Are they related? I really need to brush up on my freshwater fish, lol... its been a while since I knew a lot about them:o Also... (I know its not a cichlid) would a Leaf Fish get along with these? Would the others just ignore it thinking it was a dead leaf, or would they harass it? And how well would they get along with some Kuhli Loaches? Sorry about all the qestions, and the non-cichlid ones, I was just curious about how well they would do together.

I was thinking against the Kuhlis, since they tend to burrow beneath the sand, and the Jurupari sifts the sand in its mouth... it doesn't seem like it would be pretty:p

Geophagus proximus and Satanoperca jurupari are total different species and from different genus.

If you give them enough space, they can live peacefully together.

And I won't put a loach that will end up as spaghetti to those cichlids.

And no, you can't keep leaf fish with them. From what I understand, leaf fish lives in brakish water. I could be wrong.

Nah, I beleive they live in the Amazon, although I could be wrong. Not brackish, though.

Thanks for your help! I would probably put a few Clown Loaches instead of the kuhlis
