I've never heard of this before and not sure what kind of fish it is. Has anyone ever seen or heard of one, and if so, do you know anything about it?

There are a number of sleeper gobies--the fat sleeper gobies are mostly brackish I think...

Depends on the species. Most are not aggressive, but like many predators, can't be kept with fish smaller than them...And some of them do get very large, up to 10 inches. Here's a page with some specific animals to look at: http://homepage.mac.com/nmonks/brackfaq.html#BM4c
