I feed my fish flakes and the following home-made freezed food:
I mix:
Shrimp
Fish
Beef/Chicken Heart (without fat)
cooked Beef liver
Peas
Spinach
Carrot
Lemon
Garlic
Beat
I put the ingredients in the blender and mix them in with unflavored gelatin. I then put the resulting paste in bags and freeze.
The fish love this food but it is a bit messy and it gives off some "juice". I am having some algae problem and i was wondering if this food has something to do with it. What are your experiences with this type of food causing algae problems?
I previously had a African Cichlid tank which i fed with similar food and I didn't mind having algae but now in a planted tank it is a problem.
