I'm running a 55 gal with CF lights(compact flourcents) and I currently have some moving water, LR and a few soft hardy corals such as Capnella. The tank has only been runing 3 or so weeks.

Besides using RO water is there a snail or some sort of way to beat back "brown" algea with a broom?

Please I need some advice since its the most ugly site I have ever seen. Thank god I don't have Red algea, huh?:p

I had the same issue. My friend lent me a diatom filter and in (NO LIE) 10 minutes, the water was not green anymore. In about 30min, EVERYTHING was crystal clear!!!
