I have a 29 gallon tank with five cichlids. One red zebra, two violet tailed, a bumblebee, and white one that changes colors. I had an algae problem and got a big ugly sucker fish. I don't like this thing and I want to get something else. Can I put a group of Siamese algae eaters or Chinese in the tank with cichlids? I've been told that if I have a one species tank then it would be ok, but I have a four species tank. Any suggestions? Would SAE/CAE be ok in there with the ones I have? Or should I get one species? Or should I just stay w/ the big ugly dragon that I have now? Thanks for your help. :)

I am not too knowledged on teh temperament of african cichs, but not too many smaller algae eaters woudl survive in a cichlid tank....that is why plecos (likely what you have) are suggested for them
