How's you mare? Did she foal yet? Have been anxiously waiting for pics.

Now, for fish question ...

How often do you feed a trigger? Mine seems to have an endless appetite (sp). I feed frozen food (Mysis, brine, formula, squid) and I cut the cubes in half so they are about the sixe of half a penny. I feed usually 2-3 different foods 2 times a day. Is that enough for the trigger or should I be adding a feed in there for him? He just always seems so hungry, is that normal for a trigger?

Also, I was thinking about possibly getting a dwarf Lion soon. Would the lion get along with the trigger? I don't see it having any problems with the coral beauty I have but I wonder if the trigger would pick on the lion ... IF I GET ONE! Still thinking about the dwarf.

Heidi did foal, a beautiful bay stud colt (had it on Thurs morning at 1:23am) but sadly Heidi did not pass her placenta and the baby was not drinking from mom (it is a long story and it will be posted on my website tomorrow) so both D'Artagnan and Heidi are at the CSU Vet Teaching Hospital till Wed at earliest.

I feed most of my triggers once a day but all they will consume. I feed my special needs Clown Trigger a minimum of 2x a day. The best way to see if it is getting enough is if it lasts the fish around 5 mins. If not try increasing the quantity a little. Triggs are infamous for insatiable appetites :).

No, Lions are horrible tankmates for Triggers as the Triggers easily and with great pleasure have fun chewing on the lion. Definitely not a good combo. Anyway, hope this helps and good luck.
