i got a stupid question:2 months ago,my malawi chichlid produced 22 frys.the question i am most curious about is,when do they change their color?most of the frys are either gray or pink.the female malawi is a bright orange, while her male companion is a very pretty blue.am i stuck with gray and pink cichlids or will they eventually get a different color?

Do yo uknow what species your female and male are? Are they the same species? If you dont 'know could you please describe them better or take a pic or find a pic online? also are these the only 2 fish in the tank that could breed? How are you sure the blue fish in the father?
depending on the species some fry are born with their colors and some will take a while to get them(especially true for haps and peacocks).
There are quite a few species of mbuna with orange females and blue males. Check out some species profiles and see if any match yours.

the female is a pseudotropheus and the male is a labeotropheus.both are off the african mbuna family.the reason i know who the DADDY is,is because i saw him do his "dance" and she picked up eggs after him.
