Cichlid. Many different kinds, and they all seem to remind me a bluegill perch. (http://aquanic.org/images/photos/ill-in/bluegill.jpg)
Is this fish in the same family?
Also, how do you pronounce: Cichlid?

Cichlid {sic-lid}
An Angelfish is a Cichlid. A BlueGill Perch doesn't look like any Angelfish I've ever seen.
I have no idea on the relations and I'm too lazy to search for the answer right now...

Discus don't look like bluegill either.
They are also not in the same family and branch at the sub-order level
They are both in the order Perciformes -- perch-like fishes, but the sub-order for bluegill is Percoidei and Labroidei for chiclids.
The family is so large it contains, bettas, barracudas and a lot of other things that don't even begin to resemble a bluegill.
Take a look at this site:

Longtime and watcher are correct, but I do agree that a good number of SA and CA cichlids closely resemble the Bluegill in looks as well as behavior. But as said there are as many or more cichlids that don't resemble bluegill. Just an FYI, when talking to us stubborn Yankees a perch and a Bluegill are completely different fish. :p Y'all come up to Lake erie sometime and we'll go perch fishing so you can see the difference.
