congradulations !! Your red express male is beatiful.
It's basically just picking the fish up, opening its mouth (via sticking a fingernail between its lips or such) and pouring the fry into a bucket or something filled with water :)
Requires a few times to get the hang of it, but soon you get the hang of it and the fish are happy to get rid of the fry :)
Mine were begging for food and greeting my an hour after I stripped them :)

I'm wondering if you would be interested in selling/shipping some of your fry? Around here the stores don't sell anything of great interest , it took awhile to get my yellow labs and electric blues!
I really like the red empress and I think my set-up would work.
I would ship them, but it's kinda hard since i'm in Iceland, and you're in Minnesota... ;)
Sorry.

What about ordering from Jeff Rapps (http://www.tangledupincichlids.com) or something like that?

Most all sites have a certain amount of fish you have to buy,($ 75-100) and I don't need that many! Do you think a red empress would be happy in the set-up I have?Of course they would be in the 125g,all the fish are listed in my sig.The ph is 8.4,weekly water changes and hard water.Only thing I plan on changeing in the aquarium is getting rid of the pitus cats ,1 pleco and adding corys instead. thanks
I'm sure red empress would go nicely in that tank :)
