Hello again:

Have had our 75 gallon freshwater up and running for about three weeks now. Have 6 red eye tetras and 6 longfin blue danios. To date, Ammonia readings still at 0 (have never been higher), nitrites/nitrates have been less than 0.3, and pH has been steady around 7.5. Do we need to add another fish/fishes of larger size to promote the beginning of the cycle, or continue to wait it out. Have heard that this may not be a bad idea, and wanted to get some feedback here. Have done two water changes in three weeks predominately to keep the gravel clean.

Thanks again for your help!

mabey wait a week and add a few more fish(3-4 depending on size and bread). then test water again. cycling usually takes 4-6 weeks. But it's hard to say with out seeing the tank lol!

"fish/fishes of larger size" what fish are you thinkin of?

thanks, we'll see what happens within the next week. hadn't thought a lot about what to add next. perhaps a couple of gouramis.
