Well, I went and bought 100lbs of lace rock and it has been added to my existing 65lbs of live rock. Is there any way to get the organisms on the live rock to spread to the lace rock?
I heard that adding calcium to my tank will help? Is this true and if so, any other suggestions?

Make sure to watch alkalinity if you add calcium. You want the two balanced against each other and dosing one can throw the other out of whack. Good lights to grow algae can convince critters to move over and eat the algae.

O.k. That begs another question. If I am dosing calcium to keep the # at 450 and not checking alk, could be the reason my back glass is losing all the purple coralline and turning a bright green? The green is hard to scrape off so I am assuming ;) that it is corralline.
Bacteria will move to the lace rock at their own rate. If you want coralline to move keep calcium up, and maybe try strontium as well.
I don't much like laval lace rock myself as it's stable in hot dry conditions (where if formed) and I think it rots pretty quickly in saltwater, leaching all sorts of stuff, including iron so it's commonly linked to algal problems. All the more reason to get a thick layer of coralline around it.
Skippy - I'm assuming you're keeping stony corals if you're keeping Ca so high. I assume you have lighting to match - this is likely bleaching the purple coralline, and allowing green algae to grow on top
