I have a very aggressive fish in my tank. He's the only one in there. It's a pseudo-chromis, I think.
I've tried for an hour and I CANNOT get him out. He's too quick and smart. But I don't feel like taking apart my whole tank to get him. I've tried leaving my nets in there so he'll get used to them, but he's very shy now.
Any ideas? Please help.
Eric
you can buy traps at most lfs. they're designed for mantis's and bad bristleworms and the like, but most will work for fish as well

Try using a large, clear glass jar. Drop some food in, and then slowly put it in the water. Sometimes you can use a net to herd them into the jar as well, but the baited jar works several times on most fish.

O.K. I guess I'll try that. This little guy is really quick and really smart. I'm not sure he'll go for it. He hides in the reef when he thinks something is up....

I guess if the baited jar doesn't work, I'm up a creek? I figure I can either wait until the fish dies, which might be years, or I can tear my whole reef apart. That is something I do NOT want to do.
