Hi all,

Great forums here. Been reading them since getting my tank 3 months ago. I have a 48 gallon bow front tank and I have been trying to get it just right with the combination of fish and plants. Plants were doing really well until I got BBA and had to bleach them but they are starting to come back ever so slightly. I do bi-weekly 25% water changes and according to the little water test strips I have the chemical levels are within range too. Right now I have the following fish in it:

3-Zebra Danios--(Pesky little nippers for the first few months.)
2-Leapord Danios--(A lot calmer than their zebra counterparts.)
5-Serpea Tetras--(Very pretty and calm fish.)
4-Red-Eye Tetras--(Same as the Serpeas but a little more skitish.)
2-Sterbai Corys--(Funny fish, remind me of fat little cherabs.)
2-Pink Corys--(My favorites, think they are the class clowns.)
1-Common Plecostomus--(Doesn't really do much but ignore everybody else but he's my little girls favorite.)

I'd like to add some larger fish to the array of critters but I'm afraid to cause any harm to the ones I already have. They are all doing so well that I really don't want to cause them any unnecessary stress.

A couple of larger and colorful fish that will primarily stay at the middle or top of the tank would be ideal. My problem is I have no idea what kind of fish that would be. I don't want the possibility of anybody getting eatin or picked on I just would like a little better show. If you guys and gals think that the tank has enough occupants though I will just leave well enough alone and enjoy the fishies I already have.

Any advice is truly appreciated.

I thought the Serpae tetras were the "skitish" ones.

Well, that may be the norm but seems like most stuff I try tends to be the opposite. Kinda like the danios. From what I read they are supposed to be pretty peacefull fish. Mine are the exact opposite and were down right mean when I first got them.
