Need advice on starting new 125 gallon?
I was hoping that someone could recommend some good quality low maintenance equipment to me. I am researching starting a FOWLR 125 gallon aquarium, and I want to set it up the best way that I can. I plan on getting two powerheads, lots of live rock, and a protein skimmer for filtration.
1. Do you recommend any other filtration device or pumps for this configuration? If so can you recommend a specific one.
2. Can someone recommend a good protein skimmer and power heads?
3. Also how much base rock to cured live rock should I use?
4. Can you cycle an aquarium with cured live rock with out using anything else?
I have read The New Marine Aquarium and these are a few questions that I have been unable to find answers to in the book. I really appreciate any advice that I can get.
