Hello all, its been a long time since I posted last my account was even deleted
. Hope holidays were good for you all.
Anyways to recap what I have:
60 gallon tank,
small chunk of live rock,
misc inverts, lionfish(He is lot bigger now), tang, snowflake eel and maroon clown.
I bought a new 110 gallon tank, and are having a stand and canopy being built. I ordered 2 - 175watt MH and 2 96wat PC lights. I plan on moving the fish to the new tank preserving everything I can. Any pointers??
I currently have CC and just ordered some Nature's Ocean Marine Sand from Petco about 200lbs. They have a good deal on it for $7.99 on their website. I went down there and they didnt have it but would order it and I would only still have to pay $7.99 a bag for 10lb bags. Very good deal, since it would be $100 to ship it.
Anyways, anybody use that sand before? I was planing on puting the new sand1/2" a day to achieve 4-5" sand bed, is that a wise choice?? I will be ordering or driving down to Exoticfish and getting more live rock once everything is settled and back to normal. The tank will be pretty bare in the mean time.
I will post some pics of progress and success(I hope) Luckily the fish I have now have been throug SOOOO many mistakes I have made in the past They are the strongest fish I have had. I just hope I dont cycle the tank over. I will keep same equipment try not to kill too much bacteria.
Anyways, thanks for any info on moving fish to new location and any experience with the sand I ordered would be great. Any suggestions on stocking what I have, I dont plan on getting very many more fish, since the lion is big and I need big fish and I dont have a huge tank.
Thanks
