HI, hope everyone is fine

i recently put my back drop inside my tank since i couldn't see it so clear in the back outside the tank, i never saw my algae eater back there, will algae still grow, if so do i just perform a scrape of algae with my algae spong?

also, i wrote in last night that i couldn't find my mollie, i about to take the back drop off since that is the only place i could think of since i looked everywhere, although it is put on pretty well and tight, i just can't figure out what happend to him, my next step is to check my cats teeth :o ...athough i never seen my cat up there with the fish.

Actually, yhe back drop won't last as long inside the tank. What I would do--what I do with my tanks--is to use some cooking oil. Put a few drops around the back of the tank, and then use a credit card to smooth the backing on. The oil holds the backing in place, and makes it very sharp and clear.

For other places to look--check inside the filter. Fish are very good at getting into filters. Other options--anything predatory? Catfish with long whiskers? Any openings the fish could slip through?

A silver tip could definitely eat a molly that was close in size--they can eat anything up to 3/4 their own size. They also get very big and need to be in brackish conditions eventually.
