I need to know when the right time is to transfer a female guppy to the breeding trap for "Labor & Delivery".::confused:

She is ready to drop when her sides are bulging out. Try not to pick her up with a net. Rather, kind of scoop her in. This will reduce the risk of injury and stress.

A couple of floating plants in the trap will also help to calm her down.

I've seen a couple of sites describe it this way:

Look at the female head on...when here belly starts to look square instead of rounded...it's about time.

Yup, I agree with Morleyz--except I look at her from the side. When her body sort of boxes out to a square/rectangular shape, she's about ready.
