Hi all, this is my first post here. I have gotten back into the hobby after some time away.

Some rainbow fish I bought recently appear to have had ich included at no extra charge. Im trying the temperature cure and wondered what effect a week or so of 86 degree plus temps might have on my plants. Have some anachris, the small leaved red rotala, some cabomba (carolinia I think) and some java fern at the moment.
Thanks

Mor, I've had my tank go to 86-88 twice in the last few weeks (thanks to the hurricanes and no power) and it's had little effect on my plants. A few got a little brown on the edges of the leaves but I believe that was due more to lack of light then to high temps.

The first hurricane kept my tank temp high for three days. The second hurricane had our power out for 6 days with little effect on the plants so you should be ok to treat for ich. (the fish were as happy as I was to get the AC back on. LOL)

Good luck!
