HI
I am looking at trying peat filtration for my discus tank but am finding it a struggle to determine whta type of peat moss to buy. I have an brand from a garden shop made from opine bark isd this ok?

Pine bark? I don't think so--real peat moss is just that--from a peat bog. Pines tend to be very acidic, and it might lower your pH, but I can't say what all else it might do as well.

You want Canadian sphagnum peat, no additives at all. No substitutions of other materials.

It is best to pretreat the water in another container and use the treated water in the display tank.
