ideas for all these guppy fry?

just wondering but has anyone done anything interesting/fun with the load of guppy fry that is generated per second by these guppies? i.e. selling them for profit or feeding them to that viscious oscar?
 
I've fed them to various fish... And I've given them away. Never tried selling any. Figured the market would'nt be that big since they are cheap and lots of people have them. There's a lot of them in my indoor pond, which is sorta strange since most of the other fish in there are predators. I guess the size of them makes them not worth the effort, or they like what I feed them or the convicts and fry better. My nephews really enjoy catching them when they visit...

I read and interesting post on PVAS about there being a wild colony of guppies in Berkely Springs West Virginia recently. Haven't made it there to see for myself however...

create your own strain of fancy guppy! guppies reproduce so fast it doesn't take long to get through 20 generations of 'em
 
sadly i find my guppies having many males and no female ofspring i now have 16 males to 1 female in my tank and so female guppies are what i need but sadly no stores nearby sell females only male fancy guppies.
 
bummer - we thought about putting some of them in the cichlid tank, but we don't want to train them to eat fry, since we have breeding pairs of cichlids... but we do have a ADF in the platy tank who has kept the population down some.
 
I just leaves the gups to themselves and every now and then prune the dull coloured ones, particularly males and feed them to my peacock eels or cichlids. I bought them originally as a feeder fish colony, but I keep saving the really pretty ones with the most vibrant colour LOL.

Do you have problems with cichlid fry survival rate as a result?
 
Wow that is cool.. I live in WV and I have never heard about wild guppies in Berkeley Springs, WV.
 
I use my guppies as feeders, and of course, save the nice ones. They get fed to my oscer, my gars, my cichlids, my rope snakes, my crayfish, and who-ever else eats them that I haven't caught.
