Wow! I can't believe this has sat for so long. They are pretty easy to propagate. I just cut off the heads and impale them on toothpicks where I want them to go. You can also stick them onto pieces of rock with super glue gel, or simply place them on the substrate in a quiet spot and let them stick down. Someone suggested taking something like a yogurt container, filling it halfway with rubble, putting the mushrooms in, and placing a little mesh, like wedding veil over it until the shrooms stick down.

Another way ,"it works for rics to", is to cut off part of their foot. Just slice a small part away from the main body and it will crawl away and grow into a new shroom. They naturally reproduce by leaving bits of their foot being and in IME it causes much less trauma to the critter and they recover a lot faster. Of course if your trying to colonize another rock you'd need to use Morgunda's method. The foot cutting method is only really good if you want them thicker on their original rock.
