I've had two "dalmation" mollies for a while now, (male/female) here recently I added two female "assorted" (mutts I guess) lyretails and I've noticed my male flaring his fins out and circling one of the new females quite often, after doing this she chases him down and constantly pecks at him untill he manages to find some cover (then she picks on the females! :thud: )
I had to put the male inside a QT due to what seems to have been sheer exhaustion, now I'm pondering why is the female so aggressive?
My tank isn't overcrowded (6 serpae tetras/4 mollies - 29g) and it seems the only time the two species even interact is when I feed them. Ammonia and Nitrates are reading normal, I guess I just got one of those irritably ill behaved fish which beg to be fed to my turtle :mad2
Anyone have similar experiances?
