There is a 64 acre lake near me that is full (85% or more) of anacharis. I think I mentioned this before on this site.
THICK mats everywhere but the creek channel.
Anyway I went up there this past week to collect bags of anacharis for my aquarium, and to feed to my tilapia.
Sterile grass carp were stocked two years ago to eat the anacharis but so far they have not done much. Of course an osprey has been hanging around the lake and eating the carp and bass in it.
I've put some anacharis in with my blue tilapia but it hasn't touched it.
Please be careful with your aquarium plants when you dispose of them.
