Hey how's it going. First gotta say I'm a newbie and so much on this site has helped me out in my first 3 months of doing the fish thing :)

So finally got up the gal to post! :) So Here's the question I have a 29 Gallon tank that has

2Marbled Mollies
1Black Mollie
2 Red Wag Platies
1 Silvertip Shark (Catfish Shark)
and a black mystry snail

I'm really looking to add a hardy fish to my set up. I'm really wanting something bright maybe even a yellow. But I have no idea what would work well in here or what would be a good match up.

So if anyone has any suggestions I would LOVE to hear them.

Thanks,
Nikki

Well, I have to ask....Do you have plans for the shark? They are brackish water, up to full marine, as they age, and will grow big enough to eat every fish you currently have in there. Without moving into salt water, it will die before it hits maturity.

If you can remove the shark, I'd go with a variety of platies, and cories for the bottom of the tank. With the shark, I wouldn't add anything, since it will soon be eaten.

Powder Blue Gourami, Clown Loache, Red Tail Black Shark would all work and they all look good.

RollendChang, I would think all those you've mentioned would get too big for a 29 gallon in addition to what's already in the tank..... Those fish are looking more for the a 55 gallon at the very least. While it might work while they are small, keep in mind these grow to large sized adults. I never liked adding fish that I knew would eventually grow out of the tank.
