OK, this may be the dumb question of the day, but here goes.
I drill my tanks high up on the sidewalls, and have always used simple 90 degree elbows with a short 1" id stand pipe for returns. They always gurgle some, but it never bothered me. However, I just set up a new tank in the living room so I added a simple "J" pipe arrangement (down, over and back up with a longer stand pipe). No more gurgling. Cool!
The problem is that the 1" hareware store PVC "J" pipe is white, big and ugly!
Anyone know where I can get black PVC drain pipe and elbows?
Or, has anyone else done this another way? My bulkheads are located about 3 and a half inches (to center) from the top of the tank.
Thanks!
